Applied Language Studies

This minute writing short learning course is aimed at secretarial staff who have limited experience of meeting procedures as well as those who want to develop their existing skills.  Since minute writing is about correctly recording what needs to be done and not what is said in a meeting, delegates will learn about meeting procedure, agendas, how to improve their listening skills as well as note-taking and minute writing.

A large part of the course will focus on the practicalites of minute writing and delegates are expected to actively participate by citing actual examples from their workplace.

·                     summarise discussions and take notes effectively and convert these notes into minutes

·                     use the tools and equipment for effective and efficient minute writing
